The Canadian group Men I Trust was initially formed by two of its members, Jessy and Dragos, old high school friends in Montreal and it wasn't until 2016 when Emma Proulx would join the duo as lead vocalist after having previously collaborated with them.

The Canadian trio, with four studio albums behind them, have self-published all of their work since their inception and confess that the green and lonely confines of rural Quebec influence their musical style with roots in electronica and more organic instrumentation to complement Emma's voice. In recent years, Men I Trust has toured countless times in North America and some European countries and has performed at international festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza. In June 2022, Men I Trust released the track "Hard to Let Go," their first single since the release of their previous album just a year earlier. In recent months, the band has released "Girl," followed by the release of the single and video for "Billie Toppy," one of their best tracks to date and a preview of what's to come.
