Film still from Meek's Cutoff directed by Kelly Reichardt (USA, 2010)
Meek’s Cutoff is a minimalist western film set in 1845 along the Oregon Trail. The film follows a small group of settlers who become lost after placing their trust in a brash, unreliable guide named Stephen Meek.
As resources dwindle and tensions rise, the group is forced to confront the limits of leadership, trust and survival. This film is a quiet, stripped-down story with a steady intensity and an unsettling sense of uncertainty
It will be screened in its original version and subtitled in Catalan as a part of the 2025 edition of Gandules Cinema in the Open Air.
