For ten years, Marwán has established himself as one of the leading figures of singer-songwriters in Spain and Latin America. After completing a tour of 70 concerts in Spain and 10 in Mexico with his latest album, El Viejo Boxeador, he returns with a new work entitled 20 Aniversario. On this album, Marwán records his old songs again and shares them in several duets with national and international artists, including Mikel Izal, Rozalén and Andrés Suárez, who stand out as some of the most special guests.
Marwán has also chosen to give his songs a more modern sound, moving away from the classic image of the singer-songwriter. This transformation reflects the natural evolution of an artist in constant growth, as evidenced in his previous album, which was unanimously acclaimed by specialized critics and marked a significant change in his musical career.
Producing the album, Marwán targeted to avoid clichés and expand his acoustic horizon to better align with his current tastes and explore a broader musical universe. The artist plans an international tour that includes more than 60 concerts in 10 countries, thus celebrating his musical anniversary.
The "Marwán phenomenon" has continued to grow, achieving performances before thousands of people both in Spain and Latin America. In addition, he has had notable success with his poetry books, selling more than 200,000 copies. His impact has been recognized with the title of "Musician for Peace" awarded by the European Parliament, in addition to receiving several awards as a singer and writer.
