Soprano Marta Mathéu and pianist Andreu Gallén present a unique concert as part of the Petit Palau Cambra cycle, blending 18th-century tonadillas with songs from the revista genre.
Although these styles are separated by time and aesthetics, both are deeply rooted in popular tradition. Two extraordinarily versatile artists will highlight their connections in a program that promises to reveal surprising common ground.
*Relaxed sessions like this one are sessions of music, theater, dance and cinema, among others, with a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, more tolerant of the movement and noise of the public, and are aimed at families and people with special needs (Alzheimer's, autism, cognitive or social interaction difficulties, extreme sensitivity to sensory stimuli, aversion to unpredictable factors and also for families with babies). These sessions are designed to offer a unique experience due to their inclusive nature and the diversity of responses.
This concert is part of the events commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Isabel Llorach i Dolsa, a patron and prominent figure in Catalan culture during the first third of the 20th century in Barcelona.
