With a repertoire of original compositions and arrangements of jazz standards, the Marina Garrido Quintet delves into the sounds of contemporary and avant-garde jazz. Drawing from traditional roots while also exploring the experimental and unconventional aspects of modern jazz, the group uses the voice not only to tell stories but also as an additional instrument through improvisation and playful sound textures.

The quintet, led by Marina Garrido on vocals, features Alba Ruiz on saxophone, Antoni Casellas on piano, Juan Pablo Egúsquiza on double bass and Pau Gurpegui on drums, with the collaboration of flutist Guillem Payaró. Their musical proposal reflects on the complexities of modern life, addressing contemporary issues such as isolation and disconnection in a hyper-connected world.
