María Esteban Quintet is a classical jazz project formed by María Esteban (vocals), Edu Cabello (alto saxophone/flute), Balsa Paz (guitar), David Muñoz (double bass) and Santi Colomer (drums), all of them graduates of the Conservatori Superior del Liceu.
Their last two albums, Vocals Veladas, aim to give visibility to women lyricists and performers of the 20th century who have been forgotten. Their work revolves around six artists: Betty Comden and Carolyn Leigh (lyricists of jazz standards and Broadway musicals), Blossom Dearie (performer, pianist and composer), Ann Richards, Chris Connor and June Christy (singers).
Talents Jazz at La Pedrera begins with a visit to the attic, where the interpretive space of Gaudí's work is located, followed by a concert on the rooftop—a distinctive site, where you can listen to live jazz in a unique and suggestive setting. Discover emerging jazz talent in this exceptional building and enjoy a magical night under the stars.
