Mandela Day
Palau Macaya Pg. de St. Joan, 108, L'Eixample, 08037 Barcelona, Barcelona

The celebration of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela Day aims to bring people from all over the world together to combat poverty and promote peace, reconciliation and cultural diversity. It is not only a celebration of Madiba's life and great legacy, but also a global movement to honor a lifetime of work actively dedicated to changing the world for the better. We should all follow in his footsteps and, as he would say, “Now it is in your hands.”
This great celebration is held not only in much of Africa, with the organization of multiple activities, but Nelson Mandela Day is celebrated around the world, and in cities such as London, New York, and Washington, academic, cultural, social, and popular events are held that sometimes last more than a week.
Since 2014, the Euro Africa Centre has had the great honor of celebrating this renowned event in Spain with a cultural event that brings together various personalities from the worlds of culture, politics, and society in general.
