María Rodríguez, although she calls herself La Mala, has always been at the top of the Spanish rap game, and in her more than 20 year career—which began with Lujo Ibérico (Iberian Luxury), an album that today has a legendary aura—she has not stopped on a trajectory that has kept her in the forefront. The secret of her success lies in her imposing stage presence and the strength of her lyrics, as well as her success in mixing elements of flamenco with forceful beats. Her concert at BARTS will premiere the album Lujo Ibérico Unplugged, an acoustic review of her debut mixed with some later work and as well as previously unreleased songs. It's hip hop like you've never heard it.
