The young Capverdian published her first album, "Laço Umbilical", the string that unites the singer with her land. Through the thirteen tunes included in her album, Lucibela's golden voice explores the problems that come with being a woman and Capverdian, living far from home, living light, and loving with sensuality and grace. The secret of the extraordinary vocal technique of Lucibela resides in the ability to explore the deep ranges of the great Sambistas in Brazil while adding an exciting vibrato to her pieces.
