Gustavo Dudamel, a familiar face at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, takes the stage at the head of the legendary London Symphony Orchestra. The renowned Venezuelan conductor—one of the most influential figures in orchestral music in recent decades—enjoys international acclaim for his interpretations across both the symphonic and operatic repertoire. As Artistic and Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Simón Bolívar Orchestra and the recently announced New York Philharmonic post, Dudamel's impact extends far beyond concert halls, into classrooms, cinemas and global digital platforms.
With his energetic presence on the podium and tireless advocacy for arts education, he has introduced classical music to new audiences worldwide and helped expand access to it for countless individuals from underprivileged communities. As one of the few classical musicians to cross over into true pop culture stardom, Dudamel has participated in films such as Steven Spielberg’s recent adaptation of West Side Story, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Mozart in the Jungle, Sesame Street and The Simpsons.
