LEM - Experimental Music Festival
to
Barcelona City Centre 08001 Barcelona

The LEM festival is back for three months of international experimental music, most of which takes place in locations around Gràcia. Besides concerts, there will also be workshops, exhibitions and cinema. There will be a live performance of the soundtrack to the legendary film Suspiria and a soundtrack created for the even more legendary The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari. You can travel to space with the World Space Week, see poets run free—as has been the tradition for many years at LEM—and see some of them improvise with musicians and dancers. Vote in the deliberation of the International Luigi Russolo Award, attend a workshop to learn to create and recite poetry, celebrate synesthesia once more with Àgape and Vinfonies, take a close look at the graphic and photographic work of three artists in their respective exhibitions and attend many concerts, from an evening dedicated to new experimental creation in Sardinia to the more experimental side of world music. There will be European bands and emerging artists. Alltogether a total of 77 artists from nine different countries will take part in LEM 2014.
The opening night on October 9th will take place at La Fontana on Gran de Gràcia 190 from 8.30pm and will feature Barro, Zombie Zombie and DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess.
