The fourth edition of LATcinema Fest is here!

Over six days the Latin American film festival of Casa Amèrica Catalunya features a selection Latin American films touring the continent from north to south: Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Peru, Brazil and Argentina. In the selection you'll find stories that address universal issues such as freedom, the right to fundamental resources, the challenges of youth, mental health and reporting of abuses.

2025 Program

Program highlights include Mariana Rondón's Zafari, a dystopian story set in a semi-abandoned zoo in a city reminiscent of Caracas; Mónica Taboada-Tapia's documentary Alma del desierto, an exceptionally moving examination of a trans journey and the importance of embracing every opportunity to affirm one's identity; Gory Patiño's Mano propia, is a story based on real events that tells the complex problem of lynchings for "community justice" in Bolivia; Marcela Saïd's Los perros, follows the story of a Chilean woman in her forties who becomes friend with an ex colonel and riding instructor with a shady past; and Joe Houlberg Silva's Ozogoche, a powerful documentary that intertwines the migratory journey of birds and the journey of the young in a powerful metaphor about cultural identity, heritage and the fleeting beauty of the Ecuadorian highlands.

All films are screened in original version without subtitles. General admission is €6 per film, or you can buy a pass for four films for €20.
