The year is 1992. Celia, an 11-year-old girl, lives with her mother and studies at a nunnery in Zaragoza. Brisa, a new classmate from Barcelona, pushes her towards a new stage in her life: adolescence. On a trip to the Spain Expo and the 1992 Olympic Games, Celia discovers that life is made of many truths and some lies.
The film will be screened in Spanish with no subtitles.
About the Director
Pilar Palomero is a Spanish filmmaker and writer, she has been recognized with awards such as the Biznaga d'Or in Málaga and the Goya Awards for Best Film, Best New Director and Best Original Screenplay for her film Las niñas.
Barcelona Screening Details
In Barcelona, screenings will be held on the esplanade next to the CEM La Mar Bella. Due to the health regulations, capacity is limited and prior reservation is required. Reservations in Barcelona will open approximately one week before each session, with updated information to be posted on the festival's website.
Keep in mind that food and chairs will not be provided, so make sure to pack something tasty and a blanket for a lovely beach picnic under the stars. You are encouraged to arrive early for a good seat closest to the screen!
Timing
Screenings will begin at sunset sometime between 21:30 and 22:00, which will vary depending on the date. You should plan to arrive early and enjoy a the music session as you settle into your place.
