As a part of the festivities for over 40 years, la Cursa de la Mercè is one of the most emblematic events of Barcelona's sporting calendar.

The race runs across 10km, with markings at each kilometer and supplies at halfway. Entry cost €5 with all proceeds going to support a solidarity project—which this year is dedicated to the fight against COVID-19. To accommodate as many people as possible and yet keep the event safe for all, the race will be available in two formats—in group and solo—over two days.

For the group runs, each day will offer four separate departure times to reduce group sizes. Registration is limited to 1,500 participants on each day.

Solo runners must register for the "virtual" run and download the La Mercè race app .Once downloaded you can choose the distance you wish to run (2km, 5km or 10km) and all info will be provided via the app.
