The Fundació Suñol is displaying key works from Argentinian artist Luis Frangella until the end of January 2012.
The 32 pieces of La jarra vertiente o Máquina de dibujar [The Gushing Jug or Drawing Machine] were created between 1980 and 1989, and evoke Frangella's acute awareness of the relationship between objects and their physical dimensions.
Even after his death in 1990, Frangella's abstract, three-dimensional work continues to challenge the boundaries of figurative art, offering insight into an alternative reality that is driven by his vision of the balance between light, weight, movement and symmetry.
