La Caminata Barcelona Edition Opens Applications for Mentors and Mentees
LaCaminata® has officially opened applications to participate as a mentor or mentee in its first edition, which will take place in Barcelona on 17 October 2026.
The project proposes a different way of experiencing professional mentoring: replacing the meeting room with an urban route and turning a 90-minute walk into a structured space for conversation, reflection and action.
LaCaminata® connects women with established professional careers — the mentors — with women who are at a pivotal moment in their careers — the mentees. The aim is to spark conversations that might not otherwise take place and to transform the professional experience accumulated by some women into momentum for others.
Applications are now open
Women interested in participating in LaCaminata® as a mentor or mentee can now submit their application through LaCaminata.org.
Mentors are senior professionals with established careers who are willing to share the knowledge, perspective and lessons they have gained throughout their professional journeys.
Mentees are women experiencing a period of growth, change, decision-making or professional redefinition, who want to discuss their next steps with a woman who has already travelled part of that path.
Applications go through a preliminary selection process designed to understand each participant’s professional background, current situation, expectations and objectives. Based on this information, LaCaminata® creates the pairs who will undertake the walk together.
Places for this first edition are limited.
A unique methodology that turns conversation into movement
The experience is built around Agile Walking Mentoring, LaCaminata®’s proprietary methodology.
Inspired by the principles of Agile philosophy, it places people above processes, progress above documentation, collaboration above hierarchies, and adaptability above a rigid script.
These principles run throughout the entire project, from participant selection and the creation of mentor-mentee pairs to the training provided beforehand and the dynamic they follow during the walk.
The walk is not intended to provide ready-made answers. Instead, it aims to generate questions, new perspectives and decisions that help each mentee reassess their starting point, identify a direction and move towards a first concrete action.
