Hannah Merrick and Craig Whittle's Liverpool band, King Hannah, has little to do with the tradition of the city it comes from. This musical adventure's electrified folk connects with the other side of the Atlantic, with contemporary troubadours like Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile, and Sharon Van Etten—who collaborated on their most recent album, Big Swimmer.

King Hannah looks so much towards the States they chose to close Big Swimmer with a song called "John Prine on the Radio," a nod to the country legend. They even have another one called "Somewhere Near El Paso." They are definitely not your typical a band from Liverpool!
