Júníus Meyvant, a native of Iceland, sounds like what Van Morrison or Rod Stewart would have done had he been born in that country in 1982, on a small island with no more than four thousand inhabitants, with skateboarding, painting and a free and wild soul ruling his inner beast. “Heart-warming,” said the American NPR upon hearing his first single, which was also chosen as “Song Of The Day” on KEXP-FM in Seattle. Two such prestigious media outlets couldn’t be wrong. Three Iceland Music Awards, three albums, and two EPs later, Júníus Meyvant finally makes his debut in Spain. As they wrote in For Folk's Sake, “it will bring tears to your eyes.”
