The Indonesian-American pianist and organist Jonathan Mamora, renowned for his technical skill and poetic expressiveness, offers us a varied program with essentials such as Johann Sebastian Bach and his "Prelude and Fugue in B-flat minor, BWV 891" from The Well-Tempered Clavier and the titanic "Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor" by Rachmaninoff in its second version, written in 1931.
Besides that, the program contains pieces by current Catalan composers, such as pianist and composer Leonora Milà (1942) — a disciple of the pedagogue Maria Canals and winner of her competition in 1966 —and jazz pianist and composer Víctor Oller (1991). It also features music by David Önaç (1984), a versatile British jazz and gospel musician of Caribbean origin, known for his virtuosic piano studies.
