John Butler is an icon. One of Australia’s most prolific independent artists, Butler is a political activist, environmental advocate, and a master of string instruments, deep grooves, and heartfelt, open lyrical reflections. More than a humble singer-songwriter: he is a musical revolutionary.With his unique command of melody, soul, and hypnotic pop hooks, the ARIA Award-winning musician has remained a staple on radio for more than 20 years, with hits such as "Zebra" and "Better Than," alongside a collection of platinum records and the iconic epic piece Ocean, which has surpassed 65 million views on YouTube. 

His most recent work, PRISM—part of a broader project that also includes Running River and Still Searching—brings back Butler’s classic groove-driven power, once again topping the Australian ARIA charts and captivating fans around the world during tours across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. For PRISM, Butler assembled a powerful new band featuring original JBT drummer Michael Barker, Ian Peres on bass and keyboards, and Michael Boase on percussion. The live sound is massive, injecting explosive energy into the new songs while reigniting the passion behind beloved classics.
