Joana Serrat & The Great Canyoners + Anna Andreu
to
Castell de Montjuïc Carretera de Montjuïc 66, 08038 Barcelona

A Catalan singer-songwriter presents songs recorded over three years ago in Texas. A well-known violinist performs (on drums). An acclaimed journalist presents a DJ set. This concert will not be your typical night of music in Barcelona.
Joana Serrat presented her latest album Dripping Springs at the end of 2017. She recorded the album in Texas with help of musicians and producers Isarel Nash and Ted Young.
Dripping Springs has received critical acclaim, Serrat has whispered plans to release the first songs from her upcoming fifth studio album, also recorded in Texas during March of 2019 with musicians from St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, First Aid Kit, John Grant and Midlake, among other indie favorites. The album’s official release is slated for early 2021.
Anna Andreu makes her solo debut with her album Els Mals Costums after several years of co-leading the Càlido Home project. She's now accompanied by erstwhile violinist Marina Arrufat, who expands her own musical horizons by playing the drums in this project.
The night ends with a DJ set by author and journalist Toni Castarnado.
