Jethro Tull
The British band will perform at the Porta Ferrada Festival playing many of their hits, including the timeless “Aqualung."
Jethro Tull and its leader, flutist-singer Ian Anderson, were among the first to popularize progressive rock.
Their vinyl records in a double cardboard folder, published between 1969 and 1973, marked one of the magical periods of rock in the 1970s. Groups like Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree have always put them up on a high pedestal, and for good reason. With a career spanning 52 years and 30 published studio albums, Jethro Tull has not only been a protagonist of the prog-rock scene combining elements of the classical and folk music traditions but has also incorporated blues, jazz-rock, electronic music, and hard rock to its sound.
