Together with groups like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull is one of the essential bands to understand the evolution of rock in recent decades. After starting in hard rock and electric blues in the late 1960s, the 1970s led the explosion of progressive rock with Thick as a Brick (1972), considered a mainstream album of the genre.
Under the baton of singer and flutist Ian Anderson, these British musicians revolutionized the international scene with their conceptual and expansive albums A Passion Play (1973) and War Child (1974) while also sneaking into the charts and continuing to experimenting with jazz, folk and electronic fusion. With Anderson at the helm, Jethro Tull, is one of the totems in the history of popular music whose legacy is even more enormous live.
