“Freak-folk" artist Jessica Pratt cemented herself as a staple on the acoustic music scene ever since her self-titled debut album was released in 2012; since then, she has seen more of the spotlight thanks to collaborations with artists like A$AP Rocky. Now, Pratt expands her universe with Here in the Pitch: the fourth album of her career, but the first she has recorded incorporating a rhythm section into her band.
Timpani, glockenspiel, saxophone, flute and piano dress up her singer-songwriter style in the trappings of bossa nova, psychedelia or even Motown.
