Jesse Davis & Pedro Strukelj: Harlem Illustrated
to
CaixaForum Barcelona Av. de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia 6-8, 08038 Barcelona

While American saxophonist Jesse Davis's septet transports us to the jazz world of Harlem, the strokes of artist Pedro Strukelj seem to dance around them. This illustrated concert is an experience of live music and drawing that explores the very boundaries of rhythm and emotion.
Jesse Davis, one of today's most prominent saxophonists worldwide. Influenced by Charlie Parker, Sonny Stitt, and Cannonball Adderley, he displays impeccable technique, a broad sound, and a natural affinity for the blues in all his performances.
Pedro Strukelj is a visual artist specializing in live music drawing with ink, graphite and pastels. He has developed musical projects such as El ojo sonoro with Marcelo Moguilevsky, Transcripcions with Juanma Trujillo, Clara Lai, Leonor Falcón, Juan R. Berbín, and Pablo Schvarzman, and El pes del fum with Riccardo Massari.
