Writer Jeanette Winterson, an essential figure in Anglo-Saxon literature, returns to the CCCB to share her unique perspective on literature on the occasion of her new book, One Aladdin, Two Lamps.
Jeanette Winterson is one of the leading authors in contemporary literature. Her entire body of work conveys a strong defense of the literary word and of imagination as a tool for resisting convention and established values, while also offering a continuous exploration of the meaning of love in all its forms.
On the occasion of the publication in Catalan and Spanish of her latest book, One Aladdin and Two Lamps (Periscopi and Lumen, 2026), and of her investiture as Doctor Honoris Causa by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), the author visits the CCCB to present a new version of one of the most universal tales, One Thousand and One Nights, and once again to search for the true purpose of storytelling and to champion imagination as an essential tool in the darkest of times.
Event will be held in Catalan and English with simultaneous translation into Catalan.
