The beaches and squares of L'Estartit resound with some of the best music on the national and international scene. Llibert Fortuny, Judit Neddermann or John Scofield are just some of the many artists who have performed on its stages.

Since 2014 the coastal town of L'Estartit has hosted the Jazz Festival of l'Estartit. The event has its origins in the series of concerts that the Torroella de Montgrí Festival organized during the eighties and which featured musicians such as Stéphane Grappelli, Tete Montoliu, Max Sunyer and Toti Soler and more.

The concerts are held in various open-air spaces such as the beach, the Església square and the Molinet. In recent editions the festival hosted top-level performers such as the Brad Meldhau-John Scofield-Mark Guiliana Trio, Llibert Fortuny, The Gramohone Allstars & Judit Neddermann, Madeleine Peyroux Trio, Carles Benavent Trío and Jorge Pardo.
