The album Jazznesis III (Discmedi, 2019) is the culmination of the project started by the Jaume Vilaseca Trio in 2008, based on the music of progressive rock band Genesis.

With their passion for the band’s music and a careful study of the materials that give them their sound, the Jaume Vilaseca Trio pays tribute to the atmospheres of symphonic rock with arrangements that revive the compositions of Genesis, from their own perspective.

The result is a work in which the melodies, harmonies and rhythmic elements of the songs by the legendary British band are incorporated into the Mediterranean, Latin and sometimes flamenco-style jazz of the trio from Barcelona and opens themselves to improvisation and interplay between the three musicians on the stage.
