Festival de Cap Roig 2017
to
Jardins de Cap Roig Camí del Rus s/n, 17210 Calella de Palafrugell

Imagine a music festival where a variety of artists from across the musical spectrum play outdoors amid the manicured tranquility of lush botanic gardens, all in the shadow of a castle overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Located on the Costa Brava around 120 kilometres north of Barcelona, the castle and gardens were built in 1927 as a private getaway for a Russian Colonel and his English aristocrat wife; a secret, natural enclave by the sea where they could pursue their artistic interests. Today, the property is managed by a private fund, and for the past 20 years has played host to the unique Cap Roig Festival, attracting top acts from around the world to play outdoors in a spectacular natural setting.
This year, pop superstar Jason Derulo, whose hit ‘Swalla’ is dominating the charts, is sure to be one of the biggest draws, as well as American diva Anastacia. Iconic film-maker Woody Allen will be jetting into town alongside his New Orleans-style band to bring smooth jazz to the festival gardens. Coffee shop favourite Norah Jones will also make an appearance—her lullaby tones are sure to mix well with the soothing nature and shimmer of the Mediterranean Sea.
The festival runs until August 22nd in Cap Roig, near Palamos. Find more information on how to get there and book tickets here.
