James Clar– Data Packets
James Clar lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from New York University with a degree in film, he then went on to get his masters in media art from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. His works have since appeared in major public and private collections including the Borusan Art Collection in Istanbul, the Susan and Michael Hort Collection in New York and the Irene and Alan Wurtzel Collection in Washington, among numerous others.
Clar works primarily with sculpture and uses fluorescent light in his pieces as a way to affect how we perceive culture and identity. This exhibition will present sculptures and video installations utilising light as the raw material.
Earlier this year, Clar participated in the collaborative exhibition, 'This is not a Love Song', in conjunction with Barcelona's LOOP Festival.
