MNAC celebrates International Women's Day with a series of events through May 15.
From March 2 to May 15:
Montserrat Negre: pioneer in paper restoration. Exhibition in homage to Montserrat Negre i Queralt (Barcelona, 1925-) and her pioneering action in introducing into Spain new techniques and materials for the restoration and conservation of paper. Foyer of the Joaquim Folch i Torres Library. Admission free-of-charge.
March 7:
Small stories, great women. A narrator will explain in a dramatic tone women’s vital and professional story of Colita at 17:00. Free activity with enrollment. Family activity for children from five years old and over.

Persepolis (2007) Marjane Satrapi, Vincent Paronnaud. Screening of this animated film in which Iranian cartoonist, painter and filmmaker Marjane Satrapi explains how she grew up in the fundamentalist regime, and how she ended up leaving her country. At 19:00 (Oval Hall). Free entry with limited capacity (prior online enrollment is recommended).
March 17:
Transforming the view: women artists in the museum + guided visit to the exhibition Knotting the space. Aurèlia Muñoz Donation. Round-table discussion made up of Laia Manonelles, Laura Mercader, Sílvia Ventosa and Lúa Coderch to rethink and debate the place women occupy in museums + guided visit to the exhibition devoted to Aurèlia Muñoz. From 6 pm to 20:30, free entry with limited capacity (mandatory online enrollment).
March 18, 19:
Una venjança com n'hi ha poques + Es rifa un home! + Les cartes. MNAC hosts a Teatre Nacional de Catalunya's presentation of three pieces in the framework of a show related to the Women Pioneers Epicenter. At 20:00. Ticket purchase required.
Sundays in March:
Guided visits in terms of gender, Sundays of March, at 11:30. Activity included in the admission price (mandatory online enrollment).
April 1:
Montserrat Negre: doctor of books and documents, talk given by Carme Sistach. Free entry.
