In Nanocosmos, Michael Benson manages to reveal a world unknown and inaccessible to the naked eye: from the antennae and the spirit tube of a butterfly to the wing of a mosquito or the stamens of a flower. His images constitute a visual spectacle and a scientific revelation full of beauty and mystery, a fascinating construction between architecture and botany and biology and avant-garde art.
It looks like a sculpture, but it is actually a flower on which a weevil with herbivorous habits is perched which, thanks to the electron microscope, stands as a fascinating artistic construction. This is one of the images that make up Nanocosmos, by the artist and author Michael Benson, specialized in revealing the beauty that hides an invisible nature to our eyes.
