Trumpet player, composer, arranger and bandleader, the work of Charles Tolliver has become a reference for generations of musicians around the world. 

Impact: The Music of Charles Tolliver is the latest project by the quintet comprising trumpet player Oriol Vallès, saxophonist Guim Garcia-Balasch, double bass player Pep Coca, pianist Dani Rambla and drummer Oriol Cot. With a repertoire based entirely on Tolliver’s music, the ensemble unleashes its modern hard bop and explores new arrangements and possibilities within this repertoire. In this way, they remain faithful to Tolliver’s philosophy: “I always take the most difficult [musical] routes."
