Ignasi Cambra performs as part of the musical project, Residències Musicals at La Pedrera, which aims to support and raise the profile of some of the best young musicians across the country. Performers will either be working alone or with other musicians. The event will give artists the opportunity to showcase their versatility and talent as well as raise the profile of their careers.
Cambra started at the Badalona Conservatory under the instruction of María Lluïsa Alegre before going on to study piano at the University of Indiana at South Bend. In 2010, he received grants from the Jacobs music school at Bloomington University in Indiana and from Juventudes Musicales in Madrid. Cambra has won various competitions both as a soloist musician and as a chamber musician, and is now studying at the prestigious Toradze Piano Studio with Alexander Taradze. Furthermore, he is currently doing a master's degree at the Julliard School of Performing Arts in New York and has performed at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Centre, and at the Contemporary Piano Faces Festival.
The young pianist performs this concert alongside guest artist Tatevik Khachatryan on the violin, with pieces from Mozart and Grieg.
