Formed in 2023 by rising jazz talents from Australia, the U.S., Spain and Belgium, Idle Moments Quintet met at Jazz Campus in Basel, studying under legendary mentors like Mark Turner, Larry Grenadier and Jorge Rossy.

With a dynamic, original sound and undeniable chemistry, they’ve already won over audiences across Europe—and took home top honors at Belgium’s prestigious B-Jazz Competition. Their powerful live performances have lit up festivals in Switzerland, Spain, Germany and beyond. Now gearing up for their debut album in 2026, this international quintet is a name to watch on the global jazz scene.
