The talent of the Japanese vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Ichiko Aoba encompasses folk, indie, classical, jazz,and even pop. From this amalgam flows hypnotic acoustic songs inspired by her dreams, attracting a diverse audience. Collaborations with musicians such as Cornelius, Mac DeMarco, Haruomi Hosono and the late Ryuchi Sakamoto have only increased her international impact.

Her album, Luminescent Creatures is the centerpiece of the tour that brings her to Barcelona. According to the artist, the album emerged as a continuation of its predecessor, Windswept Adan (2020). “It all began when I wondered what happened after the protagonist of Windswept Adan disappeared, along with the music of the island’s inhabitants. What would remain?”
