Firabril, Honey and Oil Fair in Perelló

Every April, the town of El Perelló welcomes spring's arrival with the Firabril, La Fira de la Mel i l'Oli al Perelló, a festival that celebrates local honey and olive oil. Dating back to 1882, this agricultural fair has become one of the most important fairs in Terres de l'Ebre.

El Perelló is a top honey-producing town in Catalunya, home to many families with a long tradition of cultivating bees and their honey, and the area's olive oil is widely recognized for its quality. As one of the oldest and largest olive growing areas in Catalunya, the oil from this region has been designated the coveted PDO status (protected designation of origin).

The festival sees more than 100 exhibitors coupled with activities for the whole family, including: cooking demos, cooking classes, children's workshops, a tasting of the local botifarres d’arròs with allioli, a tasting of bunyols with honey and olive oil, livestock exhibition, pony rides, a raffle for a year's supply of olive oil and one for the winner's weight in honey!
