With Messiah, Handel created one of the most beloved works in the entire classical repertoire. This oratorio, full of beauty and solemnity, has become an undisputed Christmas holiday tradition. Its music, exciting and vibrant, connects directly with the audience thanks to the expressive power of the choruses and arias, and to moments as universal as the unmistakable Hallelujah.
Vespres d’Arnadí, one of the leading ensembles in historically informed performance, and the Granollers Chamber Choir, under the direction of Xavier Puig, present a selected version of this iconic work with a distinguished vocal quartet made up of Irene Mas (soprano), Daniel Folqué (alto), Roger Padullés (tenor), and Josep-Ramon Olivé (baritone), accompanied by period instruments. An ideal proposal to enjoy the Christmas spirit with all the intensity and authenticity of the Baroque era.
