Neil Berkeley, director of this documentary, with Kevin Hart as producer, brings together six North American stand-up comedians for an intimate conversation moderated by Neil Patrick Harris. The comedians open up about their careers, mental health challenges, and how their personal experiences have shaped their monologues—and, in turn, how their monologues have shaped them.

In addition to the group session, the film dives into the lives of each participant, weaving in archival footage of their stand-up performances. This dual perspective allows us to enjoy the material both as a source of humor and as evidence of the resilience required to perform for an audience while grappling with vulnerability. Group Therapy delves into the journey of these comedians, demonstrating how, even when faced with topics that would make anyone shudder, comedy has the power to heal wounds—both for the performers and their audiences.

Film will be screened in original version with subtitles in Spanish (March 14th) and Catalan (March 15th).
