The Barcelona Grec Festival is the city's keenly anticipated annual festival of music, dance, circus and theater. It's a festival with a long tradition that forms part of the city's cultural landscape and connects fully with its artistic life. The Festival supports local production by showcasing some of the best creations of the collectives and artists that live in Barcelona, but it is also a window open to the world featuring some of the most interesting performers from other countries.
Unlike in previous years, the festival won’t be focusing on continents but rather about connections created within a global environment, about humanity. There will be an extensive international program for talking about today’s world, about a present that forces us to share a constant concern for the conservation of nature, women's voices, the consequences of war, the importance of giving a voice to those at risk of exclusion, and the growing role of artificial intelligence. That said, this will be a joyful, visual Grec, a project full of impact, emotion and surprises.
