Gessamí Boada has chosen the Empremtes Festival to present her fourth album, scheduled for release in spring 2025. This new studio record explores the traces life leaves behind—embracing frustration and accepting the darker parts of oneself and the world around us.
As in her previous works White Flowers, On començo jo and L’art d’estimar, the Maresme-born singer-songwriter writes in multiple languages—Catalan, Spanish and English—though most of the lyrics are originally written in Catalan. Co-produced with Arnau Figueres and Kquimi Saigi, the pop-folk album draws inspiration from bands like Coldplay and artists, such as Lizzy McAlpine and Nick Drake. It’s an intense and introspective record, with a live performance full of energy and positivity.
