Gandules is back in the Pati de les Dones courtyard, a classic meeting place for summer nights at the CCCB. Film critic Desirée de Fez has programed this year’s event, which complements and dialogues with the exhibition The Cult of Beauty and looks at the representation of beauty in cinema. A selection of films, mainly fantasy, horror and science-fiction, will explore the idealization of beauty, obsession with perfection and the tendency to associate beauty with youth, power and eternity, sometimes pathologically.

Films in this year's program include Nicolas Winding Refn's The Neon Demon, Coralie Fargeat's The Substance, David Cronenberg's The Fly, Robert Zemeckis' Death Becomes Her and Emilie Blichfeldt's The Ugly Stepsister.

Films are screened in original version with Catalan subtitles. Ticket sales open July 2nd. Doors open and bar service begins at 21:00, screenings begin at 22:00.
