Each year, Galacticat presents a select program of horror, sci-fi, action and animation films that is unique to Lleida. Last year Galacticat screened more than 30 films and 120 short films and was dedicated to the American writer, Stephen King. Some of the feature-length films in the previous program include #Like, Artik, Luz: The Flower of Evil, Anonymous Animals and Alien Addiction.

This year's confirmed films include Jamie Hooper's The Creeping (UK, 2021), the story of a young woman who moves home to look after her ailing grandmother and soon finds herself fighting a malevolent presence with a dark secret. Also showing is Chinese sci-fi thriller Annular Eclipse directed by Chi Zhang (China, 2021). Set in 2030, memory transplant technology is maturing and immortality seems to be possible for humans. One man, however, destroys this new technology in the process of searching for his lost memories.
