In Freefall a polyphonic map composed of different agencies, organisms, and contemporary narratives and structured from the act of the fall.
The exhibition In Freefall uses the image of falling as a metaphor for the climate of accelerated transformation in which we live: the gradual de-materialization of images, narratives and objects that have been the mainstay of our society to result in a widespread feeling of abyss. The project uses the concept as a structuring tool, integrating different temporal, geographical and symbolic contexts in a single narrative. The proposal focuses on works created from 1969 to the present day and calls for the abandonment of the Bretton Woods agreements in 1971 and the subsequent dematerialization of the economy as a turning point in the contemporary period. Taking as a starting point this central event for the financialization of our societies (understood as the engine of the different dissolution processes in progress), In Freefall approaches the present moment, contextualizing subjective dynamics within. extensive social movements.
