The musical style known as “Gypsy Jazz” leans heavily on the role of the guitar as protagonist in the musical ensemble, thanks to innovator Django Reinhardt and his distinctive contributions to this genre of music.

Guitarists Jérôme and Jul Frayssinet, two Frenchmen living in Catalonia, are specialists in the art of Manouche. They are joined by double bassist Ignasi González to pay tribute to the “inventor of European swing,” with a special show at the Mas i Mas festival this year featuring a selection from his extensive repertoire.
