In a concert that breathes light, sensuality and fascinating orchestral colors, François-Xavier Roth and the SWR Symphony Orchestra of Stuttgart transport us to a world of impressionist textures with Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune and Ravel’s great symphonic work, Daphnis et Chloé, a score of hypnotic sonority and utter refinement. Amid this sonic landscape, Emmanuel Pahud, one of the great masters of the flute, will perform Mozart’s Flute Concerto No. 1, full of grace and elegance for an evening of sophistication and melodic charm.
