Filmoteca de Catalunya Plaça Salvador Seguí 1-9, 08001 Barcelona

Filmoteca de Catalunya presents a screening and discussion panel of Giuseppe Tornatore's classic romantic drama, Cinema Paradiso (1989). Telling the story of a life lived through a love of cinema, the film follows a young Italian boy, Totò, who begins working in a projection booth as a child, loses his virginity in the cinema aisles as a teenager, and who ends up becoming a celebrated director of cinema, although he finds his pursuit of romance is not as easy. The screening is being held in memoriam of an important figure in Catalan cinema, Antoni Llorens, who distributed countless films in Spain including Cinema Paradiso, with panel participants discussing the impact of the film.
The screening begins at 8pm.
