Escena Poblenou Contemporary Creation Festival is a multidisciplinary contemporary performing arts festival that is deeply tied to the current social reality of Spain. It promotes and supports creative works that contemplate new scenic languages, new dramas and new forms of relationships between the creator and the spectator, it also has the goal of turning the performing arts and contemporary creation into a tool for the empowerment of its citizens. 

This year marks its 21st edition and the program includes shows, workshops and dialogues that focus on diverse, contemporary and multidisciplinary artistic languages.

Born in 2001 from the dream of Ada Vilaró and Sergi Estebanell, two artists living in Barcelona who wanted to create a platform to support the creation and exhibition of different contemporary stage projects and at the same time enhance the artistic fabric linked to the Poblenou district. It is a festival born of the neighborhood, open to the city and with an international perspective—it's a hotbed of scenic, cultural and social projects that take place in the neighborhood as well as the rest of the city.
