Festival Drap Art
to
Museu Maritim Drassanes av., Barcelona

This year’s Drap Art Festival focuses on one of the most urgent issues of our time: the contamination of the ocean. With 100 times more rubbish in the sea today than there was half a century ago, by 2050 it is likely that there will be more plastic floating about in the oceans than fish. Using art as a tool for the discussion of environmental issues and a vehicle for social change, Drap Art works to generate a collective effort towards sustainable living. A wide range of international artists have come together to create pieces made entirely from recycled materials, hoping to replace the modern practice of using and throwing away with the more sustainable mantra that nothing truly disappears, everything must be transformed.
