Set in a medieval castle, hosting artists both big and small, the Castell de Peralada Festival is a unique and exceptional project. Through private initiative with a public vocation, the festival contributes to cultural enrichment through new commissions and new productions.
Hosting large concerts in the gardens and smaller, more intimate recitals in the church and cloister, you'll find a wide range of artists performing rock, pop, ballet and opera. This year's festival opens with three unique events on the spectacular Mirador del Castell. The short but intense festival program also includes performances from mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato; Le Terroir, the latest creation from award-winning choreographer and dancer Lorena Nogal; the Frames Percussion Ensemble, known for its versatility, precision and commitment to avant-garde music; American soprano Angel Blue, acclaimed for her stage magnetism and emotionally rich voice, and many more!
